To do “great work”, think of yourself as an ‘independent researcher.’ In research work, 90% of the things fail, but 10% that succeed, change humanity’s fate.
Great work has a long gestation period. To do high-impact work, you, have, to, wait.

So, in any work, assume that 90% of the things you do will fail, but still do them. The courage you get when you discount the things that will fail, will force you to win big.
