Warren Buffet's and Jeffrey Bezos's letter to the shareholders is worth reading (see here, here).
This year, consider writing an annual letter to your shareholders, your stakeholders. Write about what you learned this year, what went well, what did not, and why.
This letter is useful because (a) it holds you accountable, (b) gives you objectivity as it lets you treat your life like a business, and (c) it's a culmination of the daily balance sheet.
Everyone has stakeholders in life: parents, close friends, mentors, and coaches. This year, gift them shares in your life.
Optimize for stockholder wealth, firm value, and stock price. Write this letter. Send it to them. Hold yourself accountable.
