The way we perceive time has changed. We’ve moved from a clock-based orientation of time to an event-based one. Today, time doesn’t matter as much as the event does. Binge-watching TV is one example of how we view time. It doesn’t matter whether it’s 5am or 5pm (ie the clock); what matters is that you watch TV (ie the event.)
As we view time as composed of events, what matters is our energy in those events. The way to view energy is with a classic 2 by 2 — quality / quantity and high / low.
Optimize for high-quality, high-quantity energy to be in the performance zone. The rest will follow.
